Day 2: Smiles in the Rain! Discovering the Magic of Shima Spain Village

If you missed Day 1, you can read it here.
A fun start to the second day
Since I couldn’t enjoy a drink at lunch the day before,
I treated myself to a quiet nightcap in our Yukai Resort hotel room.
On Day 2, we headed out to Shima Spain Village—our very first visit!
Click here to visit the official website
I had no idea how to get around the park,
so we just went with the flow (haha).
To my surprise, my daughter absolutely fell in love
with the ride “The Nutcracker” (no height restrictions)
and rode it over and over again!
Rides We Enjoyed – Great for Toddlers!
We had also researched a small roller coaster
at home and decided to give it a try.
I thought she might get scared, but…
she ended up riding it twice!
Totally worth the visit
At that time, my daughter was 100cm tall
・The Nutcracker – an indoor family ride
・Feliz Cruise – a gentle boat ride
・Caudi Carousel – a classic merry-go-round
・Fiesta Train – a cute mini locomotive
・Kiddy Moncella – for children over 90cm tall
We were able to ride everything we’d hoped for!
Afterward, we had some downtime before the show started, so it was time for lunch.
A Taste of Spain – Lunch at El Patio
I was craving paella, so we headed to a restaurant called El Patio.
The crowd was smaller compared to major theme parks,
so we had no trouble finding seats.
Of course, I had to grab a beer
The juicy spare ribs were super filling, and paired perfectly with the drink.

Paella and beer… the ultimate adult combo!
At that time, my daughter was napping.
She woke up just in time for her meal—curry rice—
but I didn’t take a photo since I hadn’t planned to blog this trip at first.
Rain Can’t Stop the Fun – A Flamenco Surprise
Just as we stepped outside after lunch…
raindrops started falling.
We pushed the stroller through the light rain and
made it to the Colosseum stage show
called “Patio del Canto – Dulcinea’s Secret Garden”.

Dancers in colorful costumes performed passionate flamenco,
which lifted our spirits despite the rainy weather.
One part of the show asked, “What is your birth flower?”
I found myself thinking, “Ask me too!!”
It was such a fun and engaging moment
Now, the park features a new musical,
“Don Quixote’s Gran Gala de Opera –
The Return of Teatro La Mancha”.
Even with the rain, the day left us wanting to come back.
And honestly, that’s a win in my book.
If you have young kids, I truly recommend visiting—
it’s a fun and welcoming park for all ages!
Crabby Dinner and the Perfect End to Day 2
After returning to the hotel…
it was time for the long-awaited Crab Feast Night!!

Crab claws become powerful tools in both hands!
Once again, my child said, “No thanks,”
so I happily devoured it all myself (lol).
Even the kids’ menu was included in the all-you-can-eat buffet,
so I was constantly bouncing between the food corner and our table.
With a full belly, I headed back to our room—
only to start a late-night snack session

I cracked open a bag of Ise lobster chips,
my own little souvenir, and munched away while welcoming the final day of our trip.
To be continued…
