Ginza Strawberry Cake & a Refresh Time from My Imagination

Hello!

This is Sky dolphin-M-

Last time, I introduced Shiruko Sand,

a soul food from Aichi Prefecture.

I hope some of you fell in love with that crunchy texture!

Check out my previous blog post here.

Yakiniku, sweets…

Honestly, even I’m not sure what direction this blog is heading anymore

But one thing is certain—

writing is just so much fun!

So this time, instead of crunchy,

I’d like to introduce something completely opposite:

Fluffy…

Soft…

Meltingly gentle (´▽`)

A true classic of the “fluffy world”
(at least in my personal opinion).

And that is…

Ginza Strawberry Cake

An “Unfairly Cute” Design That Steals Your Heart at First Sight

I received this cake from my workplace,

so unfortunately I don’t know what the outer box looks like.

However, each cake is individually wrapped,

and the moment you pick one up—

Even before opening the package,

its cuteness instantly catches your eye (о´∀`о)

A soft, pale yellow, round sponge cake

dressed up with gentle red polka dots.

Just by looking at it,

you can tell it’s inspired by strawberries

It’s almost as if it’s asking,

Am I cute?” — and honestly, yes… very(^_-)-☆

Ginza Strawberry Cake

There’s no doubt this would be warmly welcomed

as a small gift or souvenir.

If you love cute sweets,

this one is absolutely for you ♪

And of course…

it’s totally Instagram-worthy

A Luxurious “Two-Layer” Filling in Perfect Balance

At first glance,

you might think this cake is simply strawberry-flavored—

But it’s actually much more than that (^^♪

Inside, two different creams are carefully tucked away.

銀座のいちごケーキ

  • A sweet-and-tangy strawberry jam
  • A smooth and mellow milk custard cream

When you gently break open the fluffy sponge cake,

these two fillings pop out as if saying,

“Hello!” from inside.

The taste may be a matter of personal preference,

but for me, the balance between the refreshing acidity

and the creamy mildness was a perfect match.

I’ve heard it’s delicious when chilled,

but I wondered what would happen if I warmed it slightly instead…

The filling turns all melty and soft—

and for a moment, it almost felt like eating a warm pancake.

The Best Partner Might Be… Milk?

I wanted to say that with confidence…

But unfortunately, I was short on time

and couldn’t enjoy my most important element—

a calm, cozy moment to truly savor it.

So this time, it remained only in my imagination(*’▽’)

Still, I’m absolutely convinced that

the perfect pairing for this strawberry cake is simply

a glass of rich, full-bodied milk

The fruity acidity of the strawberry

combined with creamy milk…

I’m sure that combination would bring

a gentle, heart-warming moment.

I would’ve felt so indulgent and relaxed_( _´ω`)_

Ughhhhhhh—

What a missed opportunity!!!!

Did You Know There’s a “Banana-Shaped Cheesecake” Too!?

While doing a bit of research,

I discovered another member of this dessert series—

a caramel cheesecake!

Cheese and caramel…

That combination alone is enough to trigger

my personal “this-is-definitely-delicious” sensor.

After trying the Nama Shiruko Sandwich,

I might just set my sights on this one next (о´∀`о)

Crispy Shiruko Sandwiches are wonderful, of course—

but taking time to enjoy a soft, fluffy treat

is just as important sometimes♪

So, which team are you on?

Team Crunchy?

Or

Team Fluffy?

If you have a favorite sweet treat to recommend,

I’d love it if you shared it in the comments(^^)/~~~
